Meet the person behind Peace Branch Therapy
I'm Nora, a psychologist based in Utrecht, Amsterdam & The Hague. I work with individuals and couples in English, German, and Arabic.
Having grown up between Germany, Syria, and Lebanon before settling in the Netherlands, I know what it feels like to navigate different cultures, languages, and identities. Those experiences have shaped the way I work: with warmth, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for each person's unique story.
My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and Mindfulness. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to the person sitting across from me because no two stories are the same.
I don't believe people need to be fixed.

Many people come to therapy believing there's something inherently wrong with them. Often, they're caught in patterns that once made sense, but no longer serve them.
Therapy isn't about changing who you are. It's about understanding yourself better, making sense of those patterns, and finding new ways forward.
Some of the most powerful moments in therapy aren't grand realisations, but small shifts: showing yourself kindness where you'd usually be critical, or realising you have more choice than you thought.
What it's like to work with me
You don't need to have it all figured out before you begin.
For me, therapy starts with getting to know each other. The first few sessions give us time to understand what brings you to therapy, what has been going on in your life, and what you might need from our work together.
Some people come in knowing exactly what they want to work on. Others aren't quite sure yet, and that's okay too. Sometimes figuring that out is part of the process.
I also believe that good therapy depends on the relationship we build together. Feeling comfortable enough to be open and vulnerable doesn't always happen straight away. Trust can take time, and there's no need to rush it.
As we get to know each other, we'll explore things together with curiosity. There may be moments of reflection, moments of challenge, and hopefully moments of humour too. Therapy can hold difficult things while still feeling human.
